Annual Statistics

Annual statistics from the Ministry of Transport present a glowing scorecard for New Zealand's freight and transport industry, which has collectively risen 42.52% in value from 2001 to 2016. Despite the global financial crisis (2007-2008), the industry has only experienced a downturn on two occasions over the past 16 years, in 2006 and 2008.
Please note, all data relates to the Transport, Postal and Warehousing Industry in New Zealand, as defined by the Ministry of Transport.
