Ship Launch
Weighing tens of thousands of tons, a ship's transition from dry to wet requires good planning, ingenuity and in some cases (as the video will highlight) extreme tilt, almost to the point of capsize. It’s an all or nothing end to the production line and considering the budget to make these vessels, there’s a lot at stake.
The celebratory cheer of the crowds that accompanies each successful launch appears to mask the collective sigh of relief from the manufacturing team. We imagine one or two sleepless nights in preparation.
