Sydney port has been experiencing not only major industrial stoppages at the port terminals, but inland deliveries have been affected majorly by rail congestion.
In line with NSW government’s objective to double rail usage by 2021, DP World have announced new infrastructure upgrades in Sydney terminal. February 2012 will see the opening of a new rail siding giving Port Botany terminal a dual entry and exit point for rail, adding capacity to all operators. Meantime civil works on the track will cease rail operations in the terminal between 30 January and 27 February at the DP World Botany Bay terminal. |
