Trees For Containers

16 June 2017

At Champion Freight we have a simple, but effective approach to conservation and offsetting carbon emissions for us and our customers. We call it Trees for Containers, a unique and ambitious programme that commits to planting one tree for every full container we export. That's about 2,500 native trees each year!

Tree Planting Event

With help from SCOUTS New Zealand, the programme was officially launched in Blenheim on Sunday 11th June 2017. Over sixty volunteers were on hand to plant more than 400 trees, for what was an unseasonably mild, but beautiful winter's day in the sun. Here are a few photos from the event.
