The weeks are counting down to the conclusion of the NRL season, when two teams will battle it out in the grand final on Sunday 2nd October in Sydney. As the final siren sounds it will signal the end of Champion Freight's 2016 tipping competition which has spanned more than 24 weeks to date and two rugby codes.
It's been an intense competition with three tipsters emerging as likely winners. Amongst them, Postman, Bring Back Buck and Casper have broken away from the pack to be on 245 points, 243 points and 242 points respectively. Their closest rival, The Phantom (a shadowy and unknown figure who people liken to an effigy of NZ's male Olympic sevens team) currently resides in fourth place on 221 points - 11 points off the pace. In contrast, Celtic Warrior is the favourite to take out the wooden spoon in last position, with a score of just 125 points (half that of Postman in first place).

Not in the top three? Bragging rights go a long way and should be enough to compel even the most apathetic tipster to continue to the end. In the spirit of the game, we're looking forward to participants battling it out to the bitter end and igniting old rivalries.
Champion Freight wishes to thank all players for their participation, making the 2016 Super Rugby and NRL seasons decidedly more interesting. It's been great to see the competition unfold and we wish all tipsters the best of luck as the final weeks count down.
