If you download and print our latest export reports for sawn timber and logs you'll notice a few changes. Prima facie, you'll discover a sleek modern design, simplifying presentation while eliminating needless clutter. This includes a revamped colour scheme to help you easily identify graphed statistics if printed in black and white.
In addition to the comprehensive statistics provided on our previous reports, we've incorporated some valuable extras, including an overview of FOB export value for all major markets (page 1). Further to this, we've expanded our reporting for NZ ports to now include sawn timber volume.
Be sure to check the footnote on each page for useful information. In this particular instances, it states 'All statistics for ASEAN include Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand & Viet Name.' Similarly, a footnote summary is provided for East Asia stating, 'All statistics for East Asia include Hong Kong, South Korea, Macau & Taiwan (excludes China).'
The pie chart on each report includes a blue highlighted segment. What does this mean? It's a visual reference only, emphasising the largest market for each commodity.

We're happy to report all feedback was extremely positive and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey. We've used this information to form a foundation in which to build our new reports, acknowledging we don't need to reinvent the wheel to enhance the quality and value of each report.
In the coming weeks we hope to expand our reporting beyond forestry for the first time, publishing an additional two export reports for wine and honey. Watch this space.
